My favorite photo equipment sitting on a table while I am relaxing in the cafeteria of the Museum für Naturkunde in Berlin, originally uploaded by Andreas Helke.

This is currently my favorite photo equipment. The Canon 5D classic with a 24-105L lens. This is a versatile combination and produces excellent image quality while keeping the weight of my equipment somewhat manageable.

I am standing in a Queue to buy a ticket for the spectacular Pergamon Panorama special exhibition. This is shown in Berlin up to September 2012. If you get the chance do do it visit it. You have an quite accurate impression of standing on a tower and looking down on an antique Greek city and its people.

Definitely worth visiting if you are interested in this subject.

Mirror Lenses

The most remarkable feature of mirror lenses is their bokeh. They turn out of focus lights into rings. On a long tele lens this can be a big problem because only a small part of most images is in focus and therefore unaffected by this effect.
